Lyndel Lloyd Ayers, 85, passed away on April 11, 2024. He was born on February 11, 1939, to William and Viola (Floe) Ayers in Boot Heel, Florida. Lyndel was a dedicated railroad engineer and a resident of Hardee County since 1959. He had a passion for automobiles. Lyndel was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ada Ayers, his son Jimmy Ayers, and his siblings Elvis Ayers, Leonard Ayers, and Carolyn Ayers. He is survived by his daughters Ann Ayers of Frostproof, Florida, and Pam Barringer (Jackie) of Wauchula, Florida; his brother Ed Ayers of Arcadia, Florida; 6 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held at Robarts Garden Chapel on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. Lyndel will be dearly missed by all who knew him, and his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
