Maria Guadalupe de Armas, 68, of Hardee County, Florida, passed away on September 11, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

Maria was born September 9, 1957, in Uvalde, Texas, to Seledonio Trinidad and Bacilia Coy. She had been a resident of Hardee County for the past 40 years, having moved here from Miami, Florida. A woman of Christian faith, Maria devoted her life to raising her family and caring for her home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Seledonio Trinidad and Bacilia Coy, and by her siblings Seledonio Trinidad Jr. and Gloria Sandoval.

Maria is survived by her children: Joel Alvarez Jr. and wife Sophy of Birmingham, Alabama; Jonathan Alvarez and wife Cynthia of Mulberry, Florida; Lazaro de Armas Jr. of Wauchula, Florida; and daughter Erica Alvarez of Wauchula, Florida. She is also survived by her brother Frank Trinidad and his wife Helen of Wauchula, Florida; and her sisters Esperanza Garza and husband Ignacio of Wauchula, Florida; Sulema Flores of Wauchula, Florida; Carmen Lamboy and husband Oscar of Fort Meade, Florida; Irma Prieto and husband Raymon of Fort Meade, Florida; Celestina Trinidad-Baza and husband Humberto of Georgia; and Josephine Rivera and husband Samuel of Zolfo Springs, Florida.

The family welcomes friends who wish to celebrate Maria's life. Funeral and visitation arrangements will be shared when available.
