Maria Cristina Garza, 34, of Arcadia, passed away on March 4, 2013 in Manatee County. She was born in Bartow, Florida on June 24, 1978 and had been a lifelong resident of Hardee County. Cristina was employed by DeSoto Health & Rehab as a nursing assistant.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Cruz Garza, father, Servando Garza, brother Jose Garza, and brothers-in-law, Nickey Ray Hughes and Jesus Jesse Reyna.
She is survived by three sons, Jonathon Torres, Jacob Torres, and Arturo Garza, all of Arcadia; fiance, Joel Sanchez; daughter, Olivia Sanchez; seven brothers, Paul Rosas and wife Connie of Wauchula, Jesse Garza and wife Lupe of Georgia, Santos Garza and wife Ramona of Georgia, Salvador Garza and wife Elizabeth of Michigan, Raul Garza of Texas, Juan Garza of Wauchula, and Enrique Garza and wife Elva of Zolfo Springs; five sisters,her twin, Ernestina Garza of Arcadia, Janie Hughes of Brandon, Linda Reyna of Wauchula, Mary Benton and husband Mark of Lakeland, and Margie Deleon and husband Tony of Bowling Green; grandson, Ryan Carrion; nieces, Miranda and Savannah Vasquez; best friend, Coara Gilbert; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, March 8, 2013 at the End Time Crossroad Ministries in Wauchula from 12:00 Noon until 1:00 P.M., followed by funeral services at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Doloris Williams will officiate. Interment is in Wauchula Cemetery.
