Marie Evelyn Vancil-Yax passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, in Arcadia, Florida. Marie was a proud military wife, Lutheran by faith attending Grace Lutheran Church. Marie is preceded in death by both husbands Alfred Elseworth Vancil Sr. and Bill Yax; son Alfred Elseworth Vancil Jr.; and twin sister Mary Ellen Mentor. She is survived by her son Philip Vancil (Theresa Marie Chambers Vancil) of Lake City, Florida; with 7 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
