Mary Lou Galloway Zimmerman, 76, of Wauchula, FL, gently passed into the arms of Jesus on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at the AdventHealth Hospital in Sebring.

Mary Lou worked in the medical field for fifty-six years in the area of surgical assistance. She attended the Shands University of Florida technical training program and completed the course of study. Over the years, she worked at many facilities including Hardee Memorial, Bartow (Polk) General, Bartow Regional Health and Baycare.

Mary Lou was a kind and gentle spirit and also a force to be reckoned with. She loved family, bingo, gaming, dancing, and junking. She worked hard, she played hard and loved hard with that fiery red hair.

She was predeceased by her parents, Stephen Weldon Galloway and Dorothy Taphenia Dewnard Galloway, and a sister, Fanny Wright Galloway.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela "Angie" Manley (Charles); son, Timothy S. Keene (Berenda); sister, Martha Clark; niece, Kathy Clark Gainous (Marty); great-nephew, Brett Clark Jarnagin; grandchildren, Laina Perez, Stephanie Perez, Shawn Palma (Celina), Victoria "Tori" Palma, Joseph Pelham, Jr. and Michael Huckaby, Jr; and great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Andrew, Aiden Lopez, Aleighia Rosales, Michael and Connor Palma, Elliania Hinojos, and Axel Pelham.

Visitation is on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at Robarts Garden Chapel at 11:00 AM, followed by her memorial service at 12:00 PM (Noon). A private graveside will be held at a later date.

The family has asked family and friends to practice social distancing and to please wear a mask.
