Mary Gertrude Smith, 85, of Zolfo Springs, passed away at her home in Zolfo Springs on Tuesday, November 27, 2018. She was born in Borden Springs, Alabama on February 15, 1933, and had been a resident of Zolfo Springs since 1961. She worked in the medical field as a CNA for the State Hospital. Gertrude was a Member of Florida's First Assembly Of God. She was preceded in death by her parents William Washington and Vennis Estella Forrister. Her husband Emory Smith, Daughter Deborah Jo Hart as well as nine brothers and two sisters. She is survived by Sons Emory Darryl Smith of New Port Richey, Fl. and Russell Grayln Smith of Wauchula, Fl. A Sister Estel Salmon of Ozark Arkansas as well as four grandchildren and one great Grandchild.

A Visitation will be held in the Robarts Garden Chapel on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 9:00 with funeral Services starting at 10:00AM. Pastor Jeff Fowler will officiate Services. Interment will be held at Bowling Green Cemetery.
