Mary Juanita Tindell went to be with the Lord December 26, 2013, at Tampa General Hospital, surrounded by family and friends. Juanita was born in Frostproof, Florida on March 21, 1935. She was the loving wife of 59 years to Earl Tindell and loving mother to Marcus Dwight Tindell ( deceased ) and David Allen Tindell.
Juanita was predeceased by her parents, Bascum and Reba Smith of Bowling Green ; son, Mark Tindell of Wauchula, and sister Claudia Conley of Wauchula.
She is survived by her husband Earl Tindell of Frostproof ; one son, David Tindell and wife Jill of Winter Haven ; 3 sisters; Lavonia Duke, Vera Miller and husband Bill, and Pat Ruben all of Frostproof ; 4 brothers: Lamar Smith and wife Margaret of California, Jim Smith of Bowling Green, Mitchell Smith and wife Phyllis of Fort Meade, and Roy Smith of Lake Wales ; 9 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Juanita was a former member of Emmanuel Fellowship Baptist Church of Frostproof.
She was a devoted friend to many, always sharing a heartwarming smile and will be greatly missed.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 30, 2013 at 2;00 PM in The Garden Chapel at Robarts Family Funeral Home in Wauchula, with funeral services following at 3:00 PM with pastors John Essigman and Albert Blum officiating. Internment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Wauchula.
