Mercer "Duane" Gilmore 91, of Wauchula, Florida passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021. Duane was a lifelong resident of Hardee County, he proudly served in the US Navy was Baptist by Faith, and a carpenter by trade. Duane is preceded in death by both of his parents Reverend Mercer Gilmore and Louise Gilmore. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Gilmore of Wauchula, Fl.; brother-in-law Skipper Gause of Wauchula, Fl.; sister-in-law Genevieve Gilmore of Bradenton, Fl. and Rosemary Gilmore of Brandon, Fl.; nephews Steve Gause (Janet) of Springfield, MO, and Dwight Gilmore (Cheryl) of Bradenton, Fl.; nieces Samone Gilmore of Brandon, Fl., Clarice Cook (Bill) of Dover, Fl., Pam Manley of Seffner, Fl., and Beverly Jewesak (Tim) of Tampa, Fl. There will be a graveside service held on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at Wauchula Cemetery. Reverend Joe Butler will be officiating.
