Michael Hagans, 58, of Hernando, Florida went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. Michael was born on August 19, 1965, in New York, New York to Ronald and Betty Hagans. He was Christian by faith, enjoyed playing music and singing at church, loved trains and playing the drums, and was a master of knowledge of anything train-related. Michael was made an honorary deputy in Citrus County and proudly wore the badge he was given. He is preceded in death by both of his parents, and his sister Leigh Hagans. Michael is survived by his brothers Christopher Hagans of Knoxville, TN, Timothy Hagans of TN, Jonathan Hagans of Bellview, FL., and Cameron Hagans of FL.; sister Michelle Hagans of Bellview, FL.; uncle BT Hagans (Susan) of Lake Wales, FL., aunt Jill Roberts (Larry) of Wauchula, FL., several cousins, nieces, and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to The Grove Health and Rehabilitation Center Activities Center in Michael's honor at 124 West Norvall Bryant Highway Hernando, FL 34442 (352) 249-3100. A graveside service will be held at Wauchula Cemetery on Monday, January 15, 2024, at 2:00 P.M. Mr. Gary Moore will be officiating.
