Miguel Castillo Martinez, 72, of Wauchula, died on July 4, 2020 in Sebring. He was born in Wartertown, South Dakota on September 29, 1947 and had been a resident of Hardee County for 53 years, coming from Texas. Miguel was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church and was employed as a laborer in the citrus groves.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Juan Pablo and Roberta Castillo Martinez, his wife, Maria Martinez, brothers, Mauricio Martinez, and sisters, Amelia Galvan and Luz Maria Rodriguez. Survivors include one son, Miguel Martinez (Martina) of Zolfo Springs; five daughters, Dolores Martinez (Genaro) of Wauchula, Olga Martinez (Antonio) of Wauchula, Josephina Martinez (Lucio) of Georgia, Roberta Martinez of Wauchula, and Rosemary Martinez (Alfredo) of Wauchula; three brothers, Simon Martinez, Juan Manuel Martinez , and Tony Martinez, all of Texas; 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at Robarts Garden Chapel from 6-8 PM. Graveside services are at 11 AM on Wednesday, July 15th at Wauchula Cemetery.
