Obituary

Miguel Angel Mier, aged 17 days, passed away in the arms of his parents at Winnie Palmer Hospital in Orlando, Florida. He was born at 7:33 a.m. on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, and met eyes with our Lord at 3:50 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2023.
Miguel was the son of Hector and Stephanie Mier of Wauchula. He was the answer to their prayers, and they waited for his birth with faith, hope, and joyful expectation.
Miguel weighed 7 pounds 15 ounces and was 23 inches long.
Miguel's family was blessed with 17 days filled with faith, hope, and love. Miguel was baptized and received the sacrament of anointing of the sick at the bedside by Father Miguel Gonzalez from St. James Catholic Cathedral in Orlando. He experienced unconditional love through holding hands with mami and papi, caressing his face, being held for brief moments, prayer time with mami and papi, meeting and being loved on by his sisters, experiencing art activities with his sisters, listening to Christian music, and finally going outside into a garden, seeing rain and a beautiful rainbow letting mami and papi know God was there.
Miguel is deeply loved by his family, church family, and community. Miguel will always remain his parents' beautiful and sweet baby boy and his sister's little baby brother. We will continue to pray and live a life God has called us to live to hold him and be with him in heaven one day.
He is survived by his six siblings, Tatiana, Adrianna, Isabella, Gianna, Angelina, and Julieta.
His paternal grandparents are Jose Alfonso and Atala Mier of Wauchula Florida; and his maternal grandparents, Jose Refugio, and Maria de Lourdes Montanez.
A Funeral Mass will be held Friday, June 16, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, and burial to follow at the residence of 1569 Popash Road Wauchula, Florida. Arrangements can be sent to 1569 Popash Road Wauchula, Florida.
