Mildred Stephens, 89, of Wauchula, Florida passed away on Monday, February 20, 2023. She was born July 30, 1933, to Ivy and Odessa Shafter. Mildred was a resident of Hardee County most of her life and was a member of Faith Baptist of Lake Placid, was a loving mother, and had a giving heart. She was so many things to everyone in her life. Mildred is preceded in death by both of her parents, husbands Robert Lawrence Estes and Alan Noel Stephens, and many brothers and sisters. She is survived by sons Robert Michael Estes (Candace) of Tampa, FL., Lawrence Monroe Estes (Maria) of Tampa, FL., Vernon N. Stephens (Polly) of Lake Placid, FL., and John A. Stephens (Barbara) of Palmetto, FL.; daughter Kathy Stephens (Dan) of Riverview, FL., 17 Grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. A visitation will be held in Robarts Garden Chapel on Monday, February 27, 2023, from 10:00-11:00 A.M. followed by funeral services at 11:00 A.M. Dr. Robert Roberts will be officiating, and interment will take place at New Zion Cemetery following service.
