Murry F. Grimes, 95, of Winter Haven, FL, passed away in Winter Haven on Monday, July 17, 2017. He was born on February 28, 1922 in Daleville, Alabama. Murry came to Polk County15 years ago from Wauchula, Fl. Murry attended First Baptist Church of Wauchula. He owned a television and appliance store. He also served in the United States Army During WWII

He is preceded in death by his Parents by his parents Father Otto B. Grimes and Mother Julia V. Bryan. Wife Ruth P. Grimes; Brothers Fred Grimes, and Ray Grimes, Sister Elna Moore, and Katherine Grimes;
, granddaughter Nicole Grimes Whitten, and great granddaughter Taylor Whitten. He is survived by his companion Carolyn Grimes of Winter Haven, son David Grimes, of Ft. Myers, Daughter Patty Grimes Klinger and husband Steve of Ocala; Sisters Eranell Henson of Wauchula, Fl. Faye Hanusch of Bowling Green one Grandson Nick Grimes as well as several nieces and nephews.
