Octaviano Flores, Sr. 79, of Wauchula, died October 24, 2009. He was born March 22, 1930 in Pawnee, TX. He moved to Hardee County from Texas 53 years ago. He was a Catholic and was employed as a fruit harvesting contractor. Survivors include his wife, Elvira Flores of Wauchula; 2 sons, Octaviano "Tony" Flores, Jr. (Oralia) of Wauchula, and Robert Flores (Rachel of Mission, TX; 2 daughters, Diana Deanda (Raul) and Jolanda Goolsby, all of Wauchula; 1 brother, Richard Flores of Snyder, TX; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren Visitation is Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2009 from 6-8 p.m. at Robarts Garden Chapel. Funeral Mass is Wednesday, Oct. 28th at 10 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church with burial at Wauchula Cemetery.
