Oscar Benavides, Jr., 60, of Bartow, Florida, passed away on Wednesday, May 2, 2018. He was born in Santa Rosa, Texas on July 25, 1957. Oscar had been a resident of Zolfo Springs most of his life. He was self-employed as a landscaper, and a member of the Zolfo Springs United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oscar Benavides, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Maria E. Ramires of Bartow; one son, Sergio Benavides; one daughter, Adrian Benavides of Georgia; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Homer and Janie Benavides of Bartow, Noe and Francis Benavides of Bartow, Rene and Kim Benavides of Zolfo Springs, and Esduardo (Eddie) and Teresa Benavides of Bartow; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Amparo and Oscar Ortiz of Wauchula, Alicia Gonzales of Wauchula, Aida and Eliseo Pantoja of Zolfo Springs, and Esmeralda and Ryan Harris of Wauchula; and several grandchildren.

A memorial Service will be held at Inglesia Metodista Unida Lutz Y Vida
on Saturday May 12, 2018 at 10:00. Pastor Jose Delmato and Pastor Carlos Cortez will be officiating.
