Pollyanna Medley Bethea, 65, passed away on October 8, 2026 in Lakeland, Florida. She was born on July 7, 1961 to James Sherman Medley and Patricia Annette Gibeaut Medley in Valparaiso, Florida. After relocating to Hardee County, she made her living as a Daycare worker.

She is preceded in death by both parents, her husband Donald Nelson Bethea, and her brother James Sherman Medley Jr. Polly is survived by her sons Nelson Bethea (Ashley) of Highland City, Florida, and Dalton Bethea (Gabby) of Lakeland, Florida, her sister Christine Medley Hartley of Alabama, several nieces and nephews, and two grandchildren.

A service will be officiated by Reverend Scott Thomas at Fort Green Baptist Church on Friday, October 16th, 2026, at 11:00 AM.
