Ricardo "Wicho" Valdez, 57, a resident of Hardee County for 50 years coming from Texas, passed away on July 24, 2020 at Advent Health Sebring. He was born in Levelland, Texas on May 17, 1963. Ricardo attended First Christian Church and worked as a heavy equipment operator for the Phosphate Mines.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Santos and Benita Valdez
Survivors include his loving wife, Dela Valdez of Wauchula, Fl; sons, Ricardo Valdez Jr. "Rick" (Roxy) of Wauchula, Fl; Emilio Valdez of Zolfo Springs, Fl; brothers, Santos Valdez Jr (Lucy) of Wauchula, Fl; Joe Valdez of Arcadia, Fl; Carlos Valdez (Erma) of Arcadia, Fl; Jessie (Josie) of Winter Haven, Fl; sisters, Carmen Valdez of Wauchula, Fl; Tina Obregon (Florentino) of Wauchula, Fl; Maria Valdez Guerrero (Wally) of Wauchula, Fl; Anita Valdez of Wauchula, Fl; Angie Valdez of Winter Haven, Fl; Stella Valdez (Thomas) of Bowling Green, Fl; As well as grandchildren, Eli, Ember, Ethan and Emmie.

Funeral services will begin at 11 AM on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at First Christian Church. Officiating will be Pastor Darin Canary. Interment will take place at Wauchula Cemetery.
