Richard J. Frenz, born March 13, 1933, in Queens, New York, passed away peacefully after a life well-lived on July 21, 2025.. Son of George and Frances (Munz) Frenz, Richard was a dedicated professional golfer at Garden City Golf Club and a cherished resident of Hardee County for the past 20 years, having relocated from Parkesburg, Pennsylvania.

A proud veteran, Richard served his country honorably in the United States Army. Known for his stubborn yet kind-hearted nature, he was loved by all who knew him. Above all, Richard was a wonderful father, deeply devoted to his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Helen Frenz. Richard is survived by his son, Richard Frenz, and daughter-in-law, Christine.

A visitation will be held at Robarts Garden Chapel on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at 6:00 P.M.Funeral services will be held at Sarasota National Cemetery on Friday, September 26, 2025 at 11:30 A.M. He will be remembered fondly by family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
