Rita Sharon Durrance Lee, 69, of Ona, passed away at her home on April 13, 2012. Born in Bartow on October 11, 1942, she had been a Hardee County resident for 25 years, coming from Poplarville, Mississippi. She was a member of New Zion Baptist Church and had been employed by DeSoto Memorial Hospital as a registered nurse.
Survivors include her husband, E. L. Lee of Ona; one son and daughter-in-law, Joseph W. and Alissa Lee of Lakeland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Nancy and Victor Cerniglia of Poplarville, Mississippi, and Sharon and John McLeod of Lakeland; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lory Marcus and Carmen Durrance of Ona, and Ralph Daniel and Brenda Durrance of Wauchula; one sister and brother-in-law, Nina Carmen (Durrance) and Ralph Harrison of Wauchula; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at Robarts Garden Chapel from 1:00-2:00 p.m., with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Steve McGaughey will officiate. Interment is in New Zion Cemetery.
