Robert Wayne Barnwell, 60, of Wauchula, died February 24, 2011 in Wauchula. He was born on December 19, 1950 in Bossier City, Louisiana and came to Hardee County from Arcadia in 1985. He was a Baptist and a caretaker in grove service.
Mr. Barnwell was preceded in death by his father, Robert G. Barnwell. Survivors include his wife, Sherril "Sherry" Barnwell of Wauchula; mother, Azille Barnwell of Arcadia; daughter, Crystal Birge and husband Bryan of Wauchula; son, David Sams and wife Kim of Colorado; 5 grandchildren, Lindsey, Lori, and Taylor Sams, Cody Gillis, and Carter Birge; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces/nephews; and sisters-in-law.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 1st from 1-2 p.m. at Robarts Garden Chapel. There will be a memorial service at 2:30p.m. for friends and family at his home at 225 Cherokee Lane, Wauchula.
