Robert Levy Carter, born on July 19, 1939, in Walterboro, South Carolina, to Robert Leonard Carter and Mattie Carter, passed away on July 8, 2024, in Sebring, Florida. Robert had been a resident of Hardee County since 1957, coming from South Carolina. He was Baptist by faith and a self-employed farmer and rancher by trade also working at Balentine Groves for 40 years He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Robert is survived by his special friend, Joyce Perez, and his children, Wayne Carter, Timmy Carter, Mark Carter, and Justin Carter. He is also survived by his sisters, Shirley Smith and husband Ray, Climmie Batts, and Jeanette Nord. A visitation will be held at Robarts Garden Chapel on Friday, July 12, 2024, at 10:00 AM, followed by funeral services at 11:00 AM. Pastor Stephen Darley will be officiating the services, Interment will take place at Wauchula City Cemetery. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Carter family during this difficult time.
