Rodolfo "Rudy" Cruz, 61, of Wauchula, passed away on August 14, 2015 at Florida Hospital in Sebring. He was born on December 24, 1953 in Brownfield, Texas, and had been a Hardee County resident for 42 years, coming from Portales, New Mexico. Rudy had been employed by U.S. Agri-Chemical as a feed prep operator. He was a Jehovah Witness.

Survivors include his mother, Hortencia Cruz of Wauchula; wife, Virginia Cruz of Wauchula; three sons and daughters-in-law, James and Norma Cruz of Wauchula, Rudy and Yesenia Cruz of Camp LeJeune, North Carolina, and Michael and Nicole Cruz of Wauchula; two brothers, Natividad Cruz, Jr. and David Cruz of Wauchula; six sisters, Mary Traver and Irma Garcia of Wauchula, Julie Martinez of South Bend, Indiana, Nora Rodriguez of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Florinda Galvan of Wauchula, and Brenda Sandovol of Bowling Green; and eight grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Robarts Garden Chapel from 3:00 PM until 4:00 PM, with funeral services at 4:00 PM. Steve Storts will officiate. Interment is at Wauchula Cemetery.
