Rosa Garcia, 71, of Zolfo Springs, died March 31, 2010 at Sun City Center. Rosa was born in Loredo, TX on Aug. 29, 1938. She had been a resident of Zolfo Springs for 30 years, coming from Ohio. She was a homemaker and Pentecostal by faith. She loved caring for her grandchildren and cooking for her family, and was very close to her only daughter, Anglita. She generously gave to churches and evangelists, and helped many families in need, feeding them and allowing them to stay at her home. Survivors include 6 sons, Homer G. Torres, Jr. of Wauchula, Armando Torres of Toledo, OH, Rico Rene Celo Torres of Zolfo Springs, Randy Torres of Zolfo Springs, Joe Luis Torres of Eloise, Richard J. Torres of Valrico; 1 daughter, Anglita Torres of Zolfo Springs; 2 sisters, Lola Soto of Bettisville, OH, Dora Garcia of Monroe, MI; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 7th from 6-8 p.m. with Funeral Services at 10 a.m. Thursday. All services are at Robarts Garden Chapel. Pastor Wendell Smith of Faith Temple Ministries Church of God is officiating. Burial is in Wauchula Cemetery.
