Royce William Godfrey, 71, of Wauchula, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2017
In Lakeland, Florida, He was born March 10, 1946, in Blackshere, Georgia, and
moved to Florida in 1955. He remained a resident of Hardee County most of his
life, and attended public schools in Wauchula. Mr. Godfrey served his country
in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany and Viet Nam.
He was a welder for many years and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents: Grace and Lonnie Godfrey and a sister Patricia Williams.

Survivors include a son: John William Godfrey of Sarasota; 2 sisters: Martha Horn
(John) of Brazoria, Texas; Margaret Cash (Jerry) of Lady Lake, Fl.; 1 brother:
Ronald Godfrey of Houston Texas; 6 nieces and nephews, and 9 grand-nieces
And nephews.

A visitation will be held Friday, April 7, 2017, at 10:00a.m. in the Garden chapel
Of Robarts Family Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m.
With Bishop Wendell Smith officiating. Interment will follow at the Wauchula
cemetery with Military Honors.
