Sandra Kay Hendry, 56, of Ona, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2012 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital. She was born in Arcadia on February 14, 1955 and had been a lifelong Hardee County resident. She was a member of Crewsville Bethel Baptist Church and was employed by the DeSoto County Sheriff's Office as a custodian.
Survivors include her husband, James Hendry of Ona; mother, Avie McCall of Port Charlotte; four brothers, Charles McCall of Roswell, Georgia, Ronnie McCall of Jacksonville, Darrell McCall of Arcadia, and Carroll McCall of Cape Coral; one sister, Elinor Scott (Gene) of Arcadia; sister-in-law, Lisa Gough of Ona; mother-in-law, Jacqueline Hendry of Zolfo Springs; nephews, Delmas and Delos Gough; niece, Michelle Gough; and several other nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 at Crewsville Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Tom Heath officiating. Burial is private.
