Sandra "Joyce" Tallant, 75, a resident of Hardee county for most of her life coming from Georgia, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at her home. Sandra was born in Atlanta, Georgia on March 29, 1945. She was Baptist by faith and attended New Vision Worship Center in Zolfo Springs, Florida.


She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Cora Louise Priest and her brothers, Carl Eugene Priest and David Lamar Priest.


Survivors include her husband, Lawrence Tallant of Wauchula, Fl; son, Kenneth Tallant of Wauchula, Fl; daughters, Sandra Holt (Reson) of Wauchula, Fl; Carol Tallant of Snellville, GA; brothers, Clyde Monroe Priest of Davenport, Fl; Ronald Wayne Priest of Wauchula, Fl; Jerry Ray Priest of Wauchula, Fl; Eddie Lee Priest of Horton, Al; sister, Brenda Diane Wills (Lester) of Jacksonville, Fl; grandchildren, Reson Holt Jr, Crystal Moses, Michael Holt, Kimberly Thomas, Joshua Miller, Jessica Miller; great grandchildren, Luk Holt, Logan Holt, Brody Holt, Benjamin Holt, Dallas Moses III, Savannah Moses, Colton Moses, Destiny Thurston, Lillian Holt, Skyler Thomas, Jonah Thomas, Aurelia Miller; with a great great grandchild arriving soon. As well as many nieces and nephews.


A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at 10:00 am to 11:00 am in the New Vision Worship Center. Funeral services will follow 11:00 am in the New Vision Worship Center. Pastor Rod Cannon will be officiating services. Interment will take place at Wauchula Cemetery.
