Sheila Barrett McClenithan, 79, of Wauchula, passed away at Hope Hospice in Sebring on April 22, 2012. Sheila was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on March 15, 1933. She had been a Hardee County resident for 46 years, coming from Fort Myers. Sheila was a member of Lake Dale Baptist Church and had been employed by Wauchula State Bank for 30 years, from 1968-1998, as a comptroller.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar McClenithan.
Survivors include four sons, Michael McClenithan of Fort Myers, Paul McClenithan of Fort Myers, Cole McClenithan and wife Amy of Allentown, Pennsylvania, and Ross McClenithan and wife Renee of Wauchula; three daughters, Donna Burt and husband Buddy of Cape Coral, Katherine Allen and husband Rich of st. Petersburg, and Lynn Holland of St. Petersburg; and nine grandchildren, Hank Woods, Mark McClenithan, Tyler McClenithan, Emily McClenithan, Ashley Holland, Bobby Holland, Brenton McClenithan, Brek McClenithan and Lacey McClenithan.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 from 6-8 p.m. at Robarts Garden Chapel. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. Thursday at Lake Dale Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Waldron and Cole McClenithan officiating. Burial is in Lake Dale Cemetery.
