Shirley Boyette Crews, 89, of Bowling Green, Florida passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, in Avon Park, Florida. Shirley was born March 15, 1933, in Wauchula, Florida to Jimmy and Mae (Lowe) Boyette. She was a lifelong resident of Hardee County, Shirley loved her family and her church family very much. She was a very active member of Union Baptist Church for most of her life until health issues got in the way. Shirley is survived by her daughter Patti Braddock of Fort Green, FL.; son Happy Crews (Carolyn) of Ona, FL.; sister Joann Lashley of Tavares, FL., grandchildren Daniel Braddock (Tammy) of Ona, FL., Stephanie Carbajal (Cory) of New Smyrna Beach, FL., Bridget Bradley (Todd) of Illinois, Gwyn Hughes (Chuck) of Bartow, FL., and Nicky Nelson (Adam) of Arcadia, FL.; great-grandchildren Parker Carbajal, Courtney Carbajal, Tommy Braddock, Heston Braddock, Sydney Braddock, Molly Ennis, Colby Crews, Brody Arsenau, Garret Hughes, Emily Lynn Hughes, and Cutter Nelson. A visitation will be held at Robarts Garden Chapel on Thursday, February 9, 2023, from 12:00-1:00 P.M. followed by a funeral service at 1:00 P.M. Deacon Wayne Gourley will be officiating. Interment will take place at Wauchula Cemetery.
