Valentin Mendieta Rodriguez, beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on March 25, 2025, in Sebring, Florida. He was born on March 29, 1971, in Guanajuato, Mexico, and became a cherished resident of Hardee County in 1994.

Valentin dedicated his career as a forklift driver for Arcadia Crown Roof Tiles, where he was known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his job. He was a devoted member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, where he found community and fellowship.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Gregorio Mendieta and Margarita Rodriguez Mendieta, and his brother, Pio Mendieta. Valentin is survived by his loving wife, Nila Mendieta of Zolfo Springs, and their children: Auelarto Mendieta, Kenny Mendieta, Perla Mendieta, Denise Mendieta, and Marissa Mendieta, all of Zolfo Springs. He is also survived by his brothers Antonio Mendieta and his wife Graciela of Wauchula, and Mariano Mendieta of Wauchula, as well as his sisters Gloria Mendieta and her husband Domingo Arvizu of Wauchula, Zoila Mendieta of Mexico, Evangelina Mendieta of Mexico, and Juana Mendieta of Mexico.

Valentin will be remembered for his kindness, his dedication to his family, and his unwavering faith. He touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2025, at Robarts Family Funeral Home Garden Chapel from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Funeral services will take place at St. Michael's Catholic Church on April 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM, with interment to follow at Friendship Cemetery.
